Bienestar works through an Inclusive Regional Economic Development lens to support regions in building equitable, coordinated, place-based economies.
While traditional economic development often reinforces existing advantages, our work focuses on aligning strategy, systems, and investment so growth expands opportunity and community well-being.
We partner with public agencies, nonprofits, philanthropies, educational institutions, and regional collaboratives to integrate economic strategy with workforce, education, and place-based development. Through strategy, research, facilitation, and capacity-building services, we help partners move from vision to action in complex, multi-sector environments.
Our support ranges from short-term engagements, such as workshops or conference facilitation, to long-term partnerships that build, strengthen, or scale regional initiatives.

Research, Evaluation, & Learning
We provide research and evaluation support that helps partners understand what’s working, what’s shifting, and what’s needed next.
Using an equity-centered lens, we conduct landscape scans, develop career pathway guides and case studies, and design evaluations that are tailored to complex, place-based initiatives. Our work translates data into insight and learning that informs decision-making, strengthens strategy, and supports continuous improvement.
Capacity Building, Partnerships, & Ongoing Support
We help organizations and coalitions build the structures and relationships needed to sustain inclusive regional work over time.
From defining governance and partnership roles to offering ongoing thought partnership, coaching, and grant support, we focus on strengthening the capacity of those leading and coordinating complex initiatives. This work supports partners when they are scaling, shifting strategy, or working to maintain momentum across diverse stakeholders.
Workshops & Event Facilitation
We design and facilitate workshops and convenings that are purposeful, inclusive, and outcomes-oriented. Whether supporting a conference, planning session, or focused working session, we take on the design and facilitation so participants can engage deeply and productively.
